I've had roughly the same number of issues on both platforms, and the issues have always been few and far between. Planning on selling the Mac and putting together a PC build utilizing Windows 10 Enterprise LTSB later this year. Currently dual-booting my Mac and living in Windows most of the time. Got upset with Logic for a number of reasons, switched to Cubase, love it. It would suck to spend a lot of money on the pc and software and then realize you hate the interface. Personally I like using live more that being said, maybe try out a demo before switching so you get a feel for what production in Live is like. I wouldn't really say one is better than the other, just different, its ultimately a matter of preference. I have used both logic on mac and live on windows and they are both powerful and incredibly deep. If you do make the switch you're going to have to learn a new daw so just make sure you're comfortable spending the time to get up to speed with an entirely new setup. The only time I've seen issues is when people skimp out and buy a 5 year old interface and try to get it working with windows 10. Check reviews on the soundcard and you'll be fine.

I haven't had any problems with driver issues on windows but that being said try to buy something relatively recent for your soundcard so the drivers will be updated along with Windows. Its no secret that buying apple you're paying a premium on essentially the same hardware. Dollar for dollar you're probably going to get more processing power out of building a pc.

Really it comes down to how good your computer hardware and your soundcard is.
